Becca Hall - Social Worker

Room: Counseling Center

Welcome!

Hello, Knights! I am very excited to be back on the ACP Middle School team again this year. A little about me: I have a kindergartener and second grader who definitely keep me on my toes! We love to travel together as a family and especially love escaping to Flagstaff for some cooler weather. I enjoy coffee, reading, and learning new things. I’m also a big fan of the Denver Broncos.

My Education and Professional Background

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Family and Human Development with minors in Sociology and Theatre. I also hold a Master's in Social Work, am a licensed social worker, and have a Standard School Social Worker Certificate from the Department of Education. I worked for the Department of Child Safety and then Southwest Human Development before coming to work in the Chandler School District. I have over a decade of experience in the education field and I love working with middle schoolers in this capacity.

My Educational Philosophy

I firmly believe that students are best able to focus on academics if they first and foremost have healthy coping skills, a strong support system, and the ability to recognize when they need help. The changes that happen in middle school are more than just physical – relationships, opinions, responsibilities, expectations, and interests are getting defined, and that can bring a unique set of challenges for each student. My role as a social worker is to provide them with the support they need while navigating this new territory to help them achieve their goals.
