Battles

2025-2026 Battle Dates!

The book battles will be held during the school day (beginning at 9:00 am), and participants will be excused from class. Parents are welcome to attend the battles!

Currently, ACP Middle School is scheduled to have book battles on:

October 15

January 21

March 25

 

After our three school battles, we will crown a winning team to represent ACP Middle School in the district finals and, hopefully, beyond!

 

There are two phases in each battle. Phase 1 questions begin, "In what book..." The answer must be the exact book title and bonus points are awarded for including the author's last name. Phase 2 questions begin, "In the book ____,..." Answers must be as close to accurate as possible, and you may be asked to be more specific.

After each battle, team scores will be added. Scores from all three battles will be totaled and the team with the highest point total after all three battles will advance to the City of Chandler Semifinals.

Battles are meant to be competitive in nature, but also fun!
