Battle of the Books

BattleoftheBooks

Parents!

Information and announcements for Battle of the Books 2025-2026 will be communicated via ParentSquare, and the students will have a Google Classroom. You are always welcome to email us with any questions.

Your club sponsors are Mrs. Codd, 6th grade Language Arts teacher, and Mrs. Parzych, ACP Middle School's librarian.

Battle of the Books is a program for 5th and 6th graders, so at ACP-Middle School it is exclusively offered to 6th grade students. You may join the club in teams of two or three, or you may join individually and we will find a great team for you!

Participants will be required to read four books per quarter for the first three quarters of the school year. After the fall, winter, and spring intercessions, the teams will compete to see which team can correctly answer the most questions about the books and score the highest points!

Students, we do ask that if you sign up for Battle of the Books, you commit to all three quarters so you do not strand your teammates.

Battle of the Books is completely optional.

We have a limited number of copies of each of the books in our campus library, so we ask students to return the books as soon as they have finished reading. Students may also need to check our local libraries for copies. If you purchase the books and would like to donate them at the end of the year, Mrs. Codd and Mrs. Parzych will be incredibly grateful!
